NIH Library Bioinformatics Class: Pathway Studio

The NIH Library Bioinformatics Support Program is presenting a Pathway Studio class on April 11, 9:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m. in the NIH Library Training Room, Building 10.

Learn how to use Pathway Studio, an online research solution that integrates a vast knowledgebase of biological relationships harvested from millions of published articles with analytical and visualization tools, enabling you to explore molecular interactions along with the cause and effect relationships associated with biological processes across multiple organisms.

This training session will focus on de novo pathway building, high-throughput data analysis, and variant analysis:

  • Navigate Pathway Studio Web and utilize embedded tools for pathway analysis
  • Create de novo pathways and biological association networks using the knowledgebase of facts extracted from scientific literature
  • Import and analyze gene expression data and variant analysis
  • Build new models or validate existing ones for diseases and cell processes
  • Leverage the Pathway Studio knowledgebase to build research hypotheses and verify findings
  • Explore cause and effect interactions contained in experimental data
  • Generate reports from expression data analysis

Further information about the class and registration is available at: https://nihlibrary.nih.gov/training/pathway-studio-training. Even if the class is full, please sign up for the waitlist and plan on attending the class. When the class begins, empty seats will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis by waitlisted students who arrive early and sign in. An effort is made to accommodate everyone.
