As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, we have been working with our leadership to ensure we are doing the right thing for our community. Effective March 18, we will be closing the NIH Library facility in Building 10 as part of the overall NIH effort “to promote social distancing and help ‘flatten the curve’ of COVID-19 spread across our area.”
Please know that our staff and services are still available for you during this time.
- Contact us through our Ask A Question service
- Request specific assistance through one of our Get Help forms

Although the physical Library is closed, many NIH Library resources are available online and can be accessed remotely. NIH staff can access them via the NIH VPN or through the NIH Library’s remote access service. Eligible HHS employees should connect through the remote access service.
- Over 12,000 online journals
