As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, we have been working with our leadership to ensure we are doing the right thing for our community.

The NIH Library is offering a series of classes this summer intended to help you refresh or enhance your skills and set you up for publishing success. 

Whether you are working on a manuscript or are looking to learn in–depth techniques to prepare a manuscript for publication, these NIH Library writing classes will enhance your skills. 

Take one of the NIH Library’s writing classes being offered this March. Whether you are working on your very first manuscript, need to create a scientific poster, or are looking to learn more about preparing statistics for publication, these NIH Library classes will enhance your skills and set you up for publishing success.

To help NIH authors check that all of a manuscript’s sources are cited, the NIH Library offers Plagiarism Checking Service.

This one-hour overview class introduces NIH authors to the major issues surrounding the topic of publication ethics. A foundation of best practices for professional writing will help authors identify and avoid career-damaging mistakes.

Have you ever wondered how to extract the bibliographic data contained within key resources (PubMed, Web of Knowledge, Scopus) for internal projects? Scholarly publishers and databases offer APIs (application programming interfaces) to allow users the ability to systematically access data to serve a variety of research purposes.

In conjunction with the NIH Research Festival​, the Library’s open house will showcase why we truly are “Your Partner in Research.” New this year will be a demonstration of the data visualization touch screen provided by the NIH Office of the Associate Director for Data Science.

NIH staff are invited to attend “Fostering Research and Discovery” on June 4, organized by the NIH Library. This free event will be held in the NIH Library Training Room, Building 10, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Both in-person and remote attendance options are available. Registration is required.
