This free service features bioinformatics consulting, training, analysis tools and databases hosted on high-performance computing workstations in the NIH Library and other open sources in NIH.

It is my pleasure to share updates from the NIH Library with you. These are only a few of the many projects and initiatives we are working on.

With the holiday season upon us, it is a great time to reflect on the past year, celebrate our many successes, and plan for the future. In my previous messages, I’ve highlighted some of the NIH Library’s achievements over 2017.

Although the summer months may traditionally be a time to slow down, the NIH Library is making exciting progress on several initiatives.

It’s my pleasure to welcome you to the NIH Library and share a few exciting developments.

The NIH Library Bioinformatics Support Program has organized a GeneSpring 14.5 training class to be held on Thursday, October 6. This free training will be offered in the NIH Library Training Room, Building 10, from 9:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. with the afternoon session from 1 – 4 p.m. covering Tips and Tricks.

The NIH Library Bioinformatics Support Program has organized a GeneSpring 13.1 training class to be held on Thursday, August 18. This free training will be offered in the NIH Library Training Room, Building 10, from 9:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. with the afternoon session from 1 – 4 p.m. covering Tips and Tricks. Registration is required.

The NIH Library Bioinformatics Support Program has organized a GeneSpring 13.1 training class for Wednesday, May 25. This free training will be held in the NIH Library Training Room, Building 10, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., which includes Tips and Tricks from 1 to 4 p.m.

Have you ever wondered how to extract the bibliographic data contained within key resources (PubMed, Web of Knowledge, Scopus) for internal projects? Scholarly publishers and databases offer APIs (application programming interfaces) to allow users the ability to systematically access data to serve a variety of research purposes.

The NIH Library Bioinformatics Support Program has organized a GeneSpring 13.1 training class for March 11. This free training will be held in the NIH Library Training Room, Building 10, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., which includes Tips and Tricks from 1 to 4 p.m. Registration is required.
