The NIH Library now provides remote access to the Adobe Creative Cloud suite of software, and classes to learn how to use them.

The NIH Library is offering a new class, Introduction to Adobe Illustrator, via webinar on October 7 at 2:00 p.m.

Join us for a new class being offered by the NIH Library, Introduction to Adobe Photoshop. The class will be held online via WebEx on May 14, 2:00–3:00 p.m. 

During the COVID-19 pandemic, “makers” have come together to design, 3D print, and distribute medical supplies.

Registration is now open for the Introduction to Camtasia webinar being offered by the NIH Library. Camtasia is an all-in-one screen recording and editing software suite used to create video tutorials and presentations. 

The ErgoFit workspaces give NIH staff a chance to try out computer workstations furnished with configurable ergonomic equipment designed to help users achieve a neutral, comfortable working posture.

On April 25, the NIH Library is partnering with VARIG (Virtual and Augmented Reality Interest Group) to present a line-up of exciting and educational virtual reality demonstrations for Take Your Child to Work Day. 

Come to the NIH Safety, Health & Wellness Day event, where the NIH Library will be offering Virtual Reality demonstrations in the B.10 south entrance lobby on Wednesday, June 27, 10:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. 

The uPrint 3D Printer, made by Stratasys, is the latest addition to the NIH Library’s 3D printer service. The uPrint offers dissolvable model supports that allow for more delicate model printing and a heated print chamber that reduces cracking and curling with ABS models.

This is a hands-on class in which students will design a small 3D model from start to finish using the open source software OpenSCAD and export it to Makerware for pre-print slicing.
