Yolanda Jones joined the NIH Library in December 2021 as a writer/editor. She most recently was a technical writer/editor at CDC's National Center for Health Statistics, helping with the production of statistical reports, web pages, and other informational products. For 11 years, she was a molecular biologist and animal scientist at FDA's Center for Veterinary Medicine, leading research projects on molecular assay development for species identification in mammals and drug efficacy in large animal species. She also served as a trainer to international and national visiting scientists and students, teaching the molecular techniques and assays developed collaboratively within her team. She is a published peer-reviewed author, has a Master's in Biotechnology, and a Master's in Business Administration.
