Alicia Livinski

Biomedical Librarian

Alicia Livinski joined the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Library in 2007. Alicia supports the Administration for Preparedness and Response (ASPR), the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), Immediate Office of the Secretary, and the Office of Global Affairs (OGA) in the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). At the NIH, she works with the Fogarty International Center (FIC) and the public health dentistry fellows at the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR) in addition to other smaller groups working on global health, infectious diseases, cancer, animal and clinical research. She is the co-lead for the NIH Library's systematic review service which provides consultation, instruction, searching, and other assistance to researchers to conduct quality scoping, systematic and other types of reviews.

Prior to joining NIH, Alicia worked for 5 years as the Information and Communications Advisor with the White Ribbon Alliance for Safe Motherhood on international maternal health and advocacy programs.

What Can I Do For You

She provides a variety of information management and research services including instruction (e.g., searching and bibliographic management tools), comprehensive and systematic review literature searching, animal alternative searching in support of animal research and the Animal Welfare Act, cited reference searches (e.g., times cited), answering of reference questions, manuscript editing, formatting and consultation.

Additionally, she has assisted with a variety of special projects including the organization and management of journal supplements, creation of a clearinghouse website on SharePoint, and the selection of key resources and subject bibliographies for inclusion on various websites.
