EndNote is a reference management tool for finding, downloading and organizing references in a personal, searchable database. With EndNote you can import references from online databases such as PubMed and Web of Science; search for and edit references; insert references in manuscripts with Microsoft Word's "Cite While You Write;" create bibliographies; and choose from thousands of journal publishing styles to format references and bibliographies. You can download EndNote onto your local hard drive or use the online version for more flexibility.

Session Description

The NIH Library licenses the powerful desktop version of EndNote for NIH and select HHS staff.  With a combination of slides and live demo, we will cover how to obtain EndNote, how to create and manage EndNote libraries, how to add full text documents to your EndNote library, and how to use EndNote to cite documents in a report, manuscript or journal article that you are writing. Then, learn how to automatically create a bibliography of the cited references at the end of your report, manuscript, or journal article.
