Session Description

R is a programming language and open source environment for statistical computing and graphics. It has tens of thousands of functions available for performing a wide variety of tasks, but sometimes a particular data set or analysis requires a function that does not yet exist in R. This hands-on class will provide an overview of creating and using custom functions in R. Participants will learn how to write their own R functions, use these functions in R sessions, and save them for future use. This is an intermediate course that assumes participants are already comfortable using R and RStudio for basic tasks.
