Unsure of where to publish your manuscript? The NIH Library provides access to two resources that can assist you with the journal selection process: Journal Citation Reports (JCR) and Cabells Journalytics Medicine.
JCR includes information on over 11,500 journal titles from the Web of Science Core Collection. Search journals by disciplinary groups or use “Match My Manuscript” to quickly identify high quality journals for your research. The Clinical Medicine category includes nearly 60 sections covering over 7,000 journal titles, allowing you to compare titles by the Journal Impact Factor (JIF) ranking. Cabells can help you identify reputable journals in your field. Cabells Journalytics Medicine includes information from over 26,000 journals in 40 different disciplines and provides title level information about submission requirements, Altmetric online attention rates, Open Access, review time frames, and acceptance rates. To access these databases, use the links above while on the NIH network/VPN or go to the NIH Library website and search for “Journal Citation Reports” or “Cabells. If you are accessing the databases from a mobile device, follow the Journal Citation Reports registration instructions or use your institutional email address to receive a temporary login code for Cabells Journalytics Medicine.
