The NIH Library is a biomedical reseach library whose collections and services are developed to support the programs of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and selected U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) agences. Only personnel within the NIH and selected HHS agencies may borrow books, use staff photocopiers, request computer searches, and receive other Library services for government realted work. An NIH ID card (your PIV badge) is required to access these services.
The loan period for books is four weeks. Videocassettes and DVD's are loaned for one week. Journals and Reference books do not circulate. The NIH Library has a limit of three renewals.
