Visit the NIH Library and strike a pose in front of our green screen with 3D-printed props. Then, select a fun background, and watch your image transformed into a fun souvenir of your NIH Research Festival experience.
Bioinformatics Community Fair
September 23 | 10 am‒3 pm
In the morning session, learn about bioinformatics training at NIH, during which intramural NIH Bioinformatics and Data Science Training Groups will describe their programs and educational activities. In the afternoon session, learn about artificial intelligence (AI) activities at NIH with a presentation on AI basics, followed by talks about how AI is being used at NIH.

3D Printing Expo & Classes: Learn, Design, and Discover

Explore the world of 3D printing at the NIH Library, featuring hands-on training sessions that will cover the essentials of 3D printing and design principles. Sessions are on a first-come, first-served basis and culminate in a Q&A with NIH’s 3D printing experts. Throughout the event, explore a diverse collection of 3D-printed models and prototypes.

Members from IDEAS and the BETA Center Makerspace will lead a review of 3D printing principles and dive into CAD modeling considerations for 3D printing in scientific research.
