This one-hour online training in the NIH Library Evidence Synthesis Review series provides an overview of the reporting guidelines used for writing your review manuscript including how to structure the manuscript and select an appropriate journal for submission.
By the end of this training attendees will be able to:
Understand the importance of using a guideline for writing the review
Identify reporting guidelines used for reviews
Explain the importance of following the PRISMA checklist
Describe the purpose of the PRISMA flow diagram
Name ways to identify a potential journal to submit your manuscript
List key items to include in your supplemental materials
Attendees are not expected to have prior knowledge of how to conduct a review. It is recommended that those planning to undertake a review, should register for the Evidence Synthesis series that take a deeper dive into the required methods for each step in a review.
